Eliminating the instant executive

The centerpiece of the Illinois agreement with NFLI is the elimination of the NFLI instant executive program, which enabled new distributors to achieve the same levels of commissions that they would likely have had to wait several months to achieve otherwise.

Prohibitions against buying into a program at a certain level have been around since Amway began, so NFLI should have known that its instant executive program violated the law. Nevertheless, eliminating this program won't keep new distributors from achieving the same result by simply purchasing enough product to qualify for the same level.

Bottom line on the instant executive program

Given this blatant violation of the law, the Illinois Attorney General should have sought to make an example of NFLI, instead of accepting a set of ineffective changes to the NFLI programs and a payment for their investigatory costs.
